An absolute necessity if you need a grab bar!I like how it flips up to take up little space when it isn't needed. The bushing is very tight, requiring moderate pressure to raise it...however this prevents the bar from falling back down. I also like the built in toilet paper holder.The top section of the grab bar is knurled to increase grip and reduce hand slippage.This grab bar is very durable. For installation, it includes screws and plastic wall anchors for mounting. Simply hold the grab bar against the wall in the desired location and mark the holes. Install the screws and anchors as necessary. It is my opinion that this should be mounted to a wall stud if possible due to the amount of forces that will be exerted onto the bar. This 24 inch bar extends out from the wall approximately as far as a standard toilet (please see the picture. I held it next to the toilet for visual reference only).Overall, it is a high quality grab bar at a decent value!

Can't say enough about these, they are very high quality and have saved our parents a lot of struggle. We ended up buying a second set for our house for when they come over. This is I heavy duty and secure way to stabilize someone when they have trouble with balance on the toilet or sitting down and standing up. This creates a stable base for the individual. I love that I can raise it up out of the way when it’s not being used and very quickly and simply pull it back down when necessary. I was able to find a stud to attach this to so I can feel it is absolutely extra safe and can handle the weight bearing it needs to. I have this placed in my guest bathroom for my elderly parents who visit and anyone else who may need it. It goes up quickly if you have a student nearby that you can use, if not, you may have to take a little extra time to please a board across for that boost of confidence for handling weight. That’s what I suggest but you may have another way to attach this but all in all it’s very simple to get up fairly quickly either way. I 100% recommend getting this as there is always someone who can use the safety of the toilet grab bar so there are no incidents in a bathroom. The extra toilet paper roll on this keeps it within reach for the individual which makes things safe.
