I'm due for a full knee replacement in a few days. My shower is an old school cast iron tub which involves stepping in and out. Being concerned about a fall I decided to install this. The handle is the right diameter for pretty much anybody to securely grasp, has a diamond texture finish, and in my case was nicely finished in black. The kit comes with the handle, trim caps, wall plates, screws, anchors and even a little wrench. All of the hardware is stainless steel which is a huge bonus. The instructions are clear and install was a piece of cake. I did locate a wall stud and screw into that for maximum strength. The included anchors would work in tile or wall board but I don't think the connection would be as strong as screwing into a stud. But I suppose they would be more than strong enough. All in all inexpensive peace of mind for someone with limited mobility or strength issues. And just a plain good idea.

These IJDD toilet safety rails are exactly what we needed for my elderly parent. The flip-up feature is super convenient, allowing easy access when needed and out of the way when not. The rails feel very sturdy and secure no wobbling or slipping. Installation was quick and straightforward, fitting our standard toilet perfectly. The grips are comfortable, and it gives so much confidence and support. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve bathroom safety for seniors!

Bought this for an ACL knee surgery I had. The fold up arms are great for when not in use or when guests came over. Fit well. Sturdy

Heavy duty...had a little issue installing. But once installed is a great product!

Very sturdy toilet grab bar for wall mount applications.I am totally satisfied with the strength and quality of this product. You need to make sure you have proper wall studs available near the toilet to mount into. That is the only way to ensure the stability needed to use the product properly.

Well made, sturdy, non slip, substantial to hold on to

Very strong! Good grip! No problems attaching it to our br wall! Took screenshot of installation picture which helped!

Well made grab bar. The knurling (the bumpy diamond texture,) is just deep enough to provide a good grip without being too deep where it can rip your skin off...a good balance. The wall mounting plates are heavy duty and have options on mounting pattern and hardware size. Great quality stainless steel hardware is included ensuring that nothing can snap off or come loose. Wall anchor inserts are included if you need them. The finish looks great and seems like it will hold up for some time...not easily scratched. The metal, cup style caps, that hide the mounting plates, are a good, tight fit on the mounting plate and the tube of the grab bar, giving a super clean look to the installation. This is a major upgrade, to very similar products that I have reviewed recently: I found some of them to be lacking the quality I expect in a safety device. This meets my expectations: I am not eager to recommend safety products to others blindly. I feel good about recommending this shower safety grab bar, soo, YES: I recommend this product. What you see is what you get...Referring to my Photo....The installation paper is cut off at the bottom of the pic.--that's just the pic...the whole thing arrived intact....

Wonderful gadget for extra support getting up off the toilet. No holes in the wall and looks good and is sturdy.

I got this grab bar from IJDD. I will install it in my basement to help me get up and out of the basement. We have a steep step that is incredibly difficult for me to get up on because of my knee. This Safety Grab Bar is durable! It is constructed of Stainless Steel and has a textured diamond pattern to help you hold on to it.It's a straightforward install. Just put the bar where you want it and pull back the flange cover. Screw in the screws, and you're good! You want to ensure you attach these to a firm surface. If installed well, the bar can hold about 500 lbs of pressure. We used longer screws with our installation, as we wanted to be really careful that they would not pull out of the wood. I really needed this hand-up! It is a very versatile item you can use in many different ways! You can also get these in different finishes and sizes. Can't go wrong with this product!

The bars look great and will ensure safety for my older guests!

An absolute necessity if you need a grab bar!I like how it flips up to take up little space when it isn't needed. The bushing is very tight, requiring moderate pressure to raise it...however this prevents the bar from falling back down. I also like the built in toilet paper holder. The top section of the grab bar is knurled to increase grip and reduce hand slippage. This grab bar is very durable. For installation, it includes screws and plastic wall anchors for mounting. Simply hold the grab bar against the wall in the desired location and mark the holes. Install the screws and anchors as necessary. It is my opinion that this should be mounted to a wall stud if possible due to the amount of forces that will be exerted onto the bar. This 24 inch bar extends out from the wall approximately as far as a standard toilet (please see the picture. I held it next to the toilet for visual reference only).Overall, it is a high quality grab bar at a decent value!
